Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated:

Limitline (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides sports odds information and alerts. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, create a guest alert, or register for an account. Limitline does not accept or place wagers, connect to your sportsbook accounts, or collect sportsbook login credentials.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and profile information. Your sign-in email, any name and profile photo you provide, preferred alert email, optional phone number, favorite teams or players, preferred sportsbooks, watchlist, and settings.
  • Alerts and activity. Your selected game or player, market, sportsbook, target odds, alert conditions, planned stake if entered, contact details and notification consent for each alert, alert history, timestamps, delivery status, and usage counts. We collect the details needed for a guest alert even if you do not create an account.
  • Technical information. Session identifiers, IP addresses and related security identifiers, browser and device information, request times, URLs requested, and service errors may be processed by our website and hosting providers to operate and secure the service.
  • Communications. Information you send when you contact us, including privacy requests and support messages.
  • Push subscriptions. If you enable push, we store your browser’s notification endpoint, encryption keys, site origin, subscription status, and its association with your guest workspace or account. These let us send to that browser or installed app; they are not your phone number or sportsbook credentials.

Sign-in uses a one-time email code; we do not ask you to create a password. Paid subscriptions are not currently connected, and Limitline does not currently collect payment-card details.

2. How we use information

We use information to sign you in, maintain your guest or account workspace, save your preferences and history, monitor your selected odds, send alerts you request, enforce alert allowances, respond to support and privacy requests, troubleshoot failures, and protect against abuse. When a guest creates an account, we may associate their guest alert and preferences with that account.

Public sports and odds observations are saved so we can show price movement and evaluate alerts. These market observations are separate from your personal contact details.

3. Email and notification choices

Creating an alert requires your consent to receive the notification for that alert. This is not a marketing subscription. We also send sign-in codes when you request them. Emails labeled as tests are real emails sent to the address you provide.

You can pause or cancel an open alert in your dashboard, or use the manage/stop link in its email. Closing your browser or signing out does not stop a saved alert. Changing your profile defaults does not change the recipient of an existing alert.

Text alerts are not currently enabled. Phone numbers are optional and saved for your preferences; providing one does not enroll you in SMS alerts. We do not sell phone numbers or disclose phone numbers or notification consent to third parties for their own marketing.

Push notifications require your browser or device permission and your selection of push for an alert. They may appear on your lock screen. Enabling a device does not change existing alerts or subscribe you to marketing. You can turn push off for this device on the Notifications page or revoke permission in your browser or operating-system settings. Other delivery methods you selected, such as email, remain active unless you stop the alert.

4. Cookies and browser settings

We use an essential session cookie to recognize your guest workspace or signed-in account. It expires after 30 days unless replaced or cleared. A dashboard preference cookie may remember whether your sidebar is open for up to seven days. You can remove or block cookies in your browser, but account and guest-alert features may stop working. Clearing cookies does not delete server records or cancel saved alerts.

We do not currently use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral analytics on the website. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site does not change its essential operations in response to a browser’s Do Not Track signal.

5. Service providers and external websites

  • Hosting and storage. Google Cloud hosts Limitline and stores account, alert, and service records.
  • Email delivery. Resend processes recipient addresses, sign-in or alert message content, and delivery information so we can send requested emails.
  • Push delivery. Your browser’s push service, such as Apple, Google, or Mozilla, routes encrypted notifications to your device. That provider processes subscription and delivery information under its own policies. Your device decrypts and displays the message.
  • Sports information and search. The Odds API and ESPN supply sports data. Team and player search terms may be sent from our server to ESPN to return suggestions. We do not send your profile, alert email, or phone number to these providers to retrieve odds or search results.
  • Images. Logos and player photos may load directly from ESPN and Wikimedia image servers. Those servers receive normal web-request information, such as your IP address and browser information. Image sources and licenses are listed in Image Credits.
  • Sportsbook links. When you follow a link to a sportsbook or another external site, its own privacy policy applies. We do not send it your saved contact details as part of creating an alert.

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, protect safety, or defend legal rights. If ownership of the service changes, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

6. Retention, location, and security

We retain account and alert history to provide saved settings, historical activity, and support. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule for that history. You can request deletion using the contact details below. Limited records may need to be retained for security, legal obligations, or resolving disputes, and copies may remain temporarily in provider logs or backups.

Push subscription records are kept for delivery and troubleshooting. Turning push off marks a stored subscription inactive; it does not automatically delete the record or your alert history. If a push service reports that a subscription is no longer valid, we stop sending to it. You can request deletion of these records too.

Our application data is hosted in the United States. If you use Limitline from Canada or elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, and providers may process it in other countries. It may be subject to the laws and lawful access requests of those jurisdictions.

We use HTTPS, restricted access to stored information, and protected session credentials. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You can review your alert history, update your settings and contact details, and change or remove your profile photo in your account. To request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, email info@betlimitline.com. Guest users can make requests too.

Please identify the email address used for your account or alert and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity before responding. Do not send us sign-in codes, sportsbook passwords, or payment-card details. Deleting information needed to operate an alert may stop that alert.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including withdrawing consent or complaining to a privacy regulator. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and will not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

8. Age restrictions

Limitline is intended for adults who meet the legal age requirements for sports betting where they live, and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated policy here with a new effective date and provide any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.
